If you are visiting the province of Alicante or you are planning your trip, you should not miss a visit to the city of Jávea o Xàbia (in Valencian). Located in the Marina Alta region of Alicante it is one of the most beautiful cities on the Mediterranean coast.
Historic centre of Jávea
Although the first thing we do when we visit a seaside area is to go to the beach, the truth is that the first thing we do is to go to the beach. the old town of Jávea offers us a lot of charm.

We recommend the Cape San Antonio lighthouse route and its breathtaking views of the city or the Molins de la Plana route where you can see up to 11 windmills.

Sport in Jávea
Of course, Jávea allows us to practice many sports, especially water sports. Many of the beaches, which we will explain later, offer the possibility of practising scuba diving or snorkelling.
It is also common to find places where kayaking or canoeing renting the necessary equipment and going on free or guided tours along the countless cliffs of the coast.
The route of the Cova Tallada
It is the perfect combination of hiking and enjoying nature, in this case the sea.
It can be reached on foot from both Jávea and Denia.
There is also the possibility of accessing the Cova Tallada by canoe. As you can see, you are spoilt for choice. Although you should bear in mind that visits to the Cova are regulated during the summer months, so you will have to register beforehand in order to be able to do so.
